MDM metrics A set of metrics developed to help measure and demonstrate the impact of MDM to a company is vital to an MDM initiative's success. The metrics, however, should be focused on the business and not IT, which show that MDM has helped increase the accuracy of customer data by 10%, for example, aren't likely to impress management; however, metrics which show that customer retention and/or cross-selling rates increased will make an impression because they are key to business success.
